MHP hiring a full time Account Specialist who will partner with participants to create budgets, pay bills, develop budgeting and money management skills to enable them to live independently in the community.
The position is located at 833 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107, with a hybrid in-office/work from home schedule, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a starting salary range of $19/hour. As an MHP employee, you will have access to the following benefits:

***This position is eligible for a $750 sign on bonus and a $750 retention bonus after completion of one year of service.***
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Meet with participants to determine their financial goals and assist them in accomplishing their goals.
- Work closely with participants to develop their budgets.
- Assist participants in becoming financially independent.
- Completes bookkeeping tasks, such as entering budgets, bills and payments in financial software.
- Collaboratively document their progress in electronic health records system.
- Other duties as assigned to fulfill MHP's mission.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate's degree and two years of related experience or HS diploma and six years of related experience required.
- 2+/6+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (including internships or volunteering) depending on highest degree completed.
- Experience with accounting software and electronic health records is a plus.
- Experience in behavioral health services or customer service is a plus.
- Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties including desktop computing, e-mail, timesheet management, electronic health records, accounting software, etc.
- Patience, tact, ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of individuals including people in addiction and/or mental health recovery.
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
- Depending on assigned territory, must possess a valid driver's license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sit/stand at a desk with ergonomically appropriate equipment.
- Must be able to travel within the community that may not be handicap accessible: walking and/or drive agency vehicles, depending on the needs of the program. Ability to use public transportation, move around inner-city neighborhoods daily, including in inclement weather, carry computer equipment, and ascend/descend stairs carrying computer equipment. Must be able to travel to all sites supported, and MHP's main offices as needed.

MHP offers over 40 services throughout the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania, and select locations in the state of Delaware.
