Overview:

The Feed/Commodity Salesperson markets formula feeds, grains, and ingredients to livestock producers. The position will be responsible for identifying and pursuing any profitable sales opportunity across our entire customer base.

Essential Duties:

• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and understand the specific needs of their operations. Track and manage inventory of commodities and finish feeds on customer location. Ability to cold call new prospects with the goal of increasing sales and customer base

Education:

• Bachelors degree in animal science, animal nutrition, agriculture business

Experience:

• Desire to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ability to exceed budgeted sales goals.
• Strong background in animal nutrition and knowledge of feed products and ingredients
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
• Ability to work in unison with vendors, distributors, and team members to achieve common goals.
• Prior sales success within trade area or demonstrated success within feed sales.

• Feed knowledge and sales experience.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effectively solve problems.
• Organization of personal work to set priorities and efficient, effective use of time.
• Attitude of positivity and reacts calmly under pressure.

• Observes safety policy and procedures.
• Commitment to dependability and willingness to work to meet goals and deadlines.
