Beautiful Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club on Cape Cod is seeking an exceptional individual who can identify, cultivate, and generate room and ancillary revenues for the Resort focusing on the Pharmaceutical & Biotech group markets.

Position based in Corporate Sales office in Boston with the requirement to travel to Brewster, Massachusetts once per week.

Key Responsibilities of the Position Include:

• Ability to penetrate and maintain specified local, domestic, or international markets.
• Develop and implement strategic action plans to achieve hotel's financial room revenue goals.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ability to acquire market share from competitor hotels.
• Effectively communicate with General Manager, Director of Revenue and Director of Sales to review opportunities that financially impact Hotels revenue goals.
• Conduct site inspections and appropriate hotel entertainment of clients on a weekly basis.
• Actively cross sell conference, catering and restaurant facilities when dealing with prospective and existing clients; include group, catering, and applicable hotel literature with each personal sales call.
• Assist the Sales Team in achieving monthly team goals for Rooms & F&B Revenues
• Extensive client solicitation required for business opportunities and market development.

Requirements of the Position Include:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of Group Sales experience, with a strong knowledge of the local Massachusetts and Northeast markets is preferred and specific experience handling the Pharmaceutical & Biotech Markets.
• Strong negotiation, written, oral and presentation skills
• Proven track record in soliciting, penetrating, and developing unique market segments
• Must possess the desire and ability to exceed personal revenue goals
• The ideal candidate should be able to fully qualify group business for the purposes of internal business review. He/she must creatively
• Ability to travel for sales calls and feeder market sales trips including representation at local or national tradeshows
• Position is based in regional sales office in Boston. The expectation is the candidate will be required to visit the Resort in Brewster, Massachusetts once per week.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use all forms of transportation including driving to various locations for external sales calls
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to sit at computer for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and carry fifty pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,781.00 - $90,589.00 per year
