Job Summary:

The account manager will act as a liaison between the client and all other departments to ensure successful completion of every project. The account manager will assist the sales executive with the maintenance and coordination of all facets of every project from inception to ensuring prompt final delivery. The account manager will gather and disseminate all critical information to the appropriate departments. Additionally, will follow up regularly to ensure that projects are being prepared according to clients specifications.

Responsibilities include translating business requirements into specifications for the engineering and manufacturing staffs; will work closely with the sales representative to develop strategies for new and existing accounts to better serve the needs of clients; will continually strive to strengthen relationships with internal and external clients; reviewing current practices to determine if any enhancements or efficiencies can be implemented to better serve clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Account / Production Manager Job Duties:

  • Assist Sales Executive, when necessary, during project design, development and estimating processes.
  • Match customer Purchaser Order and or Sales Order Authorization/Confirmation to Estimate and enter order or job into Monarch.
  • Coordinate all pre-production activities (e.g. disks, files, file uploads and downloads, etc.) with Pre-Press that will result in a customer approved color proof needed to initiate the predictable manufacturing process.
  • Discuss, set, coordinate delivery schedule. Facilitate press checks. Ensure proof, one-off and QC meet customers expectations.
  • Gather all critical specifications (e.g. Quality, Manufacturing, Packaging, Delivery, etc.) and materials (e.g. approved samples, color swatches, color matches, etc.) and submit accordingly.
  • Monitor customer's projects and ensure that immediate feedback and possible alternatives are given to customers if and when project delivery or material availability will not meet schedule requirements.
  • The account manager must be available to answer incoming calls and/or return calls promptly. Emails must be responded to promptly.
  • Maintains technical knowledge and ability in such a way to assist and complete projects independently during spikes of departmental activity.

Account / Production Manager Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organizational skills coupled with the ability to successfully coordinate multiple tasks; knowledge of campaign management tools; able to convey ideas and concepts to all levels of staff professionally
  • Advanced understanding and practical use of office applications and relevant industry software; InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to act independently, exercising sound judgement and discretion.
  • Software certifications are highly recommended
  • Excellent communication skills are a requirement of the account manager position

General and Administrative

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the companys commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals.
  • Supervise the Creative Studio Team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
  • Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager/Owner, the Sales Team, and the Creative Studio Team, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that Creative Studio, sales, and customer objectives are met.
  • Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals. Ensure Company policies & procedures are followed.
  • Meet all assigned goals and assist others in accomplishing their goals.

General Operations

  • Meet all customer commitments through timely, efficient and high-quality products and service.
  • Take possession of jobs.
  • Assures all work entered into follows the order entry standards and procedures.
  • Approve exceptional or extraordinary jobs and specifications.
  • Update and maintain schedule.
  • Assist with estimating.
  • Assures the pricing accuracy of all job tickets.
  • Organize workflow according to workload to meet delivery schedule and to complete assigned jobs.
  • Maintain control of relevant records and provide information to sales representatives, customers and management with regard to delivery dates, schedules and operating problems.
  • Develop, manage and maintain an automated workflow system that interfaces order entry, prepress, and digital print.
  • Coordinate and maintain the order entry standards and procedures for the company.
  • When called upon schedule, plan and conduct morning meetings.
  • Prepare, update, and communicate regularly with sales executives.
  • Manage the coordination and control of all jobs/work orders.
  • Monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all orders to ensure customer commitments are met and meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Ensure the completion of all duties with a minimum of waste and abuse to equipment.

Financial Control

  • Take all necessary actions to improve profitability.
  • Ensure inventories are conducted and accurate records are maintained.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience of 3 or more employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good general computer operation skills and basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with team building techniques.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, In office position
