We are looking for a Leasing Consultant to join our team and help us provide excellent customer service to our tenants. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong knowledge of leasing contracts and rental laws. In addition, all candidates must have minimum 2 years previous experience working on-site leasing at a rental community (experience to be on resume) and required to speak English & Spanish.
The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for responding to tenant inquiries, processing applications, and helping to ensure that all tenants are in compliance with their lease agreements. Spanish & English is required. Base pay + Bonuses up to $200 per lease!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of local rental market conditions and rental rates.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Greet prospective tenants and answer their questions regarding the property, amenities, and rental rates.
- Conduct tours of the property and explain the features and benefits of living there.
- Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants.
- Provide excellent customer service to current tenants.
- Handle tenant complaints in a timely manner.
Other Duties and responsibilities
- Keeping an eye on community facilities such as mailrooms, fitness centers and laundry rooms
- Keep residents informed of any changes to rental agreement or upcoming property issues.
- Building a rapport with current tenants to give them personalized service.
- Responds quickly and courteously to resident and client/owner concerns and questions and takes
- prompt action to solve problems and/or document and convey resident or other requests to the
- appropriate individual(s).
- Ad-hoc projects throughout the community

- Multilingual (Spanish and English) to communicate more effectively in diverse areas

Requirements:
- Reliable transportation
- English & Spanish a must
- Technical cell phone skills
- Experience with AppFolio management software preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
