Job Overview:

As a Construction Sales/Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the growth and success of our company working closely with the Senior Project Estimator. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients, vendors, and supply houses as well as preparing accurate and competitive bids for construction projects by important deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit accurate and competitive bids for construction projects

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget

Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity

• Review and understand all project plans, requirements, and specifications
• Determine labor and equipment costs
• Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks
• Understand project logistics and project schedule
• Prepare bid packages and compare and analyze competitive subcontract and supplier bids
• Review quotes and estimates with Project Team and prepare recommendations
• Interface with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction
• Accurately develop cost models, including conceptual, schematic and design development states of pre-construction exercises.
• Develop full-scope estimates based on final construction documents
• Track and report on current material and labor prices, including escalation
• Develop meaningful value engineering contributions to reduce price
• Reconcile estimate deliverables and value engineering logs with third party estimating consultants, owner and design team
• Identify escalation factors in marketplace for specific materials and labor rates
• Ability to substantiate all aspects of final estimates
• Develop relationships with Trade Contractors and provide Operations and Purchasing feedback during the bid phase
• Maintain local historical cost databases for holistic project costs and individual materials, equipment, and commodities

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience in construction sales and estimating

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction estimating software

**Salary- will also include bonuses based on sales above salary amount**

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
