Full description of the position

Ellicott Hotels is in search of a highly organized, outgoing, positive leader and team player, who has a proven background in hotel room sales, preferably in the Buffalo market.

This individual will oversee all market segments for a group of our hotels while also working with other area sales directors to sell our current portfolio of 10 hotels in the Buffalo area.

Must have a valid drivers license to be able to travel to appointments and events as necessary. Ability to work in a very fast paced, team environment and have a positive attitude is an absolute must. Proven experience working with the GM and other sales leaders to solicit and book the right mix of business to maximize revenue and exceed sales goals each month.

Director of Sales Job Duties:

Solicit, negotiate, and book new business using multiple channels, such as social media, outside calls, and telemarketing.

Uncover customer needs and fill need times for the hotel by rapidly responding to inquiries, concerns and issues, and ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Conduct site visits and prepare original, creative proposals tailored to address the needs of and to impress the customer.

Engage in creative networking, uncovering, and cold calling prospective clients to generate activity for future business.

Ability to meet/exceed room budget goals by aggressively going after new business through cold calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and conducting site tours

Ability to remain positive, resourceful and improvise while working in a fast-paced environment, many times under pressure

Research and understand demand generators, new business sources, the Internet as a prospecting tool, community involvement and networking.

Understand competing hotels and identify sales strategies to gain market share.

Note: Other duties as assigned by Corporate Director of Sales & Revenue

Advancement potential for the right candidate will include multiple property sales responsibilities and increased compensation.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree from 4-year College or University preferred or at least 3 years of sales experience in the hotel industry with proven track record

Ability to travel to events a few times a year if necessary

Positive attitude and willing to take on other duties to assist hotels with revenue growth.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
