Position Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for supervising the branch employees, increasing market share in their assigned territory, managing financial performance of the branch, ensuring that customer needs are met and fulfilling any additional duties assigned by Corporate Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Branch Manager:
Analyze available financial reports and information, implementing appropriate strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity, and manage expenses and assets.
Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
Monitor all inventory levels of assigned products; place purchase order to maintain appropriate levels of inventory.
Achieve sales, gross profit- and profit-sharing goals through the recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation and management of the Branch team.
Familiarity with industrys rules and regulations
Results driven and customer focused
Maintain ongoing contact and positive relationships with customers and vendors to actively promote the quality products and services of the company.
Employee Supervision & Development
Oversee, in coordination with corporate policies and practices and in cooperation with the corporate human resources department, personnel management for the site, including, salaries administration, and employee hiring, discipline, and terminations.
Promote a culture of Safety
Create and maintain a professional, trained and dedicated workforce.
Direct and supervise branch Administrative, Sales, and Warehouse Department staff.
Resolve employee issues with the support of Human Resources as needed.
Recruit, develop, evaluate and lead a high-performance team.
Sales
Achieve sales, gross profit- and profit-sharing goals through the recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation and management of the Branch team
Implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.
Ability to meet sales targets and production goals
Maintain ongoing contact and positive relationships with customers and vendors to actively promote the quality products and services of the company.
Determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals for those accounts, and hold salespeople accountable for achieving those goals. -
Direct and supervise Territory Sales Managers (TSM), including call activity, quoting, the sales process and subsequent delivery.
Increase market share in product lines in the branch assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR) according to company goals.
Review market share information monthly with VP and make adjustments as needed.
Promptly address customer complaints and resolve concerns
Increase customer engagement, interactions, and transactions within the branch
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
At least 5 years of Management experience in the Heavy Equipment Industry & Management.
Degree preferred but will consider experience as substitute.
Excellent follow-through and reporting capabilities.
Self-motivated, flexible individual who can work both independently and in a team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including customer service.
Strong organizational skills to support multi-tasking and ability to prioritize.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Work and Excel).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to sit and/or stand at a PC workstation. Heavy keyboarding and visual computer screen work required.
Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (80% - 100% of the workday).
