An international industrial machine manufacturing company in the Northern Columbus, Ohio area is seeking a Japanese / English Bilingual Sales Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate will engage in account management and work closely with the Engineering team on the business development side. A business level of Japanese language skills is required to communicate with customers. This is a full time, direct-hire position. Entry level candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Japanese / English Bilingual Sales Associate Responsibilities:

• Visit clients sites to understand customers needs and to establish robust relationships with them
• Participate in customer meetings and confer with managers and staff to discuss projects
• Provide customer oriented technical support and prompt solutions
• Create price quotations and negotiate price and costs with customers
• Secure product orders and follow up on tracking and delivery
• Prepare and submit sales reports to parent company
• Other duties as assigned

Japanese / English Bilingual Sales Associate Requirements:

• Business level of Japanese language ability is required (JLPT N2 equivalent)
• Associates degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or relevant field is preferred
• Ability to travel for sales visits throughout north America for 50% of the time
• Professional work experience, including internships, co-ops, etc. is a plus but not required
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Time management and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and customer support skills both in-person and over the phone
• This position will not support visa sponsorship or relocation expenses
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
