Job Summary: Our Inside Sales Team plays a key role in assessing, promoting, and fulfilling customer needs in order to provide an excellent customer experience. Our Inside Sales Representatives work directly with our team of independent sales representatives, brokers and other customers to support relationships, understand customer needs, and identify new sales opportunities.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday and seasonally requires Saturday shifts based on business need.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Support relationships with existing customers throughout the year via telephone, mail, email, onsite customer visits, tours, events, and tradeshows
• Develop understanding of the customers business needs in order to educate and promote our programs and products
• Provide customers with timely plant availability and pictures when requested
• Develop and maintain awareness of industry trends
• Facilitate the placement of customer orders and monitor fulfillment process
• Maintain proactive communication with customers prior to shipment to confirm any additional sales and shipment date(s)
• Follow up with customers after shipment to ensure expectations have been exceeded and sell additional product for future shipments
• Resolve customer issues by investigating problems and developing solutions
• Point person for all incoming phone calls and emails
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• 3+ years of sales experience required; nursery sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, both in person and via phone and email
• Experience delivering high quality customer service with the intent to always exceed expectations
• Strong plant identification skills and knowledge is required.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and possess basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think quickly and make decisions
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; experience with inventory databases (PlantX) is preferred.
• Team player who takes initiative, seeks responsibility, manages competing demands, and able to adapt to ongoing changes in the work environment.
• Willingness to assist with other job duties and assignments, as needed
• Must be able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for long periods of time and walk/traverse uneven ground
• Current and valid drivers license is required
