SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Property Director is accountable for developing and maintaining the maintenance plan for all properties. They evaluate, direct work, and make recommendations using the property budgets, and are responsible for updating and maintaining property policies and procedures. The Property Director supports all departments.
The essential functions of this position include the following:
Develops, monitors, and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance and operations at all properties (4 camps and 4 offices), and provides technical expertise, information, and assistance to the COO regarding property maintenance;
Develops and evaluates policies and procedures to ensure an economical, safe, and efficient work environment at all properties;
Plans, organizes, and implements long and short- term plans to enhance properties;
Works with Director of Outdoor Program to provide excellent customer service at camp properties;
Maintains an appropriate system of records for maintenance, operations, and capital projects, including cost analysis and controls;
Develops and prepares applicable budgets, analyzes and reviews budgetary and financial data, and monitors and authorizes expenditures;
Stays abreast of changes with American Camp Association (ACA) standards to ensure compliance for the areas of maintenance, property, and safety;
Supervises and leads the full-time Camp Rangers and part-time camp maintenance teams;
Reviews and monitors insurance policies related to camp properties;
Serves as the employer representative for the Safety Committee and facilitate monthly meetings;
Requirements:
Minimum of 4-year degree or equivalent experience in construction trade
Minimum of 10 years in facilities management or related experience
Certified pool operator and PA Pesticide Certified Applicator (categories 00 and 24) or ability and willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
OSHA 10 or higher certification or ability and willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines and benchmarks
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work while managing multiple deadlines in a continually changing work environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate clearly
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams, and ability to learn new systems
Must be organized, detail orientated, and customer focused
Ability and willingness to work primarily on-the-road with minimal time in office
Potential candidates should be comfortable traveling throughout the designated areas on a regular basis
Able to work non-traditional work hours to include days, frequent evenings and weekends
Candidate will be provided a company truck for work travel
