THE FORUM is recruiting an experienced A ssisted Living- Memory Care Sales Counselor to join our team! This position is primary focus in Assisted Living and Memory Care occupancy growth.

Wage Range : $ 68,000- $ 70,000 - Plus, the opportunity to earn an additional up to 20% commission based on performance.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Residency Counselor:

  • Plans, develops, and executes all aspects of The Forum at Rancho San Antonios Assisted Living and Memory Care unit sales.
  • Manages all information relating to the prospective resident/inquiry: communication with administration, communication with direct supervision and accurate documentation of all contacts in the CRM-Salesforce.
  • Works with the prospective resident, family members, and key influencers (physician, attorney, trust officer, as appropriate) to facilitate a timely and beneficial commitment to the community. This includes frequent personal contact with the prospective resident including but not limited to telephone calls, home or office visits, and tours as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the professional handling of all incoming inquiries. Manages the sales process through first inquiry to receipt of deposit to move-in in relation to the representation, negotiation and promotion of the community to that individual.
  • Meets all sales objectives as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Staffs the office during business hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
  • Understands the admission process for Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation and can provide back up when needed.
  • Interacts with other departments, assuring that apartments are properly prepared for move-in and keeping all pertinent parties apprised of move-in dates and possible adjustments.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate and timely records, analysis and studies as required including an annual marketing plan.
  • Fully executes the sales, marketing and advertising objectives and strategies as outlined in the annual marketing plan.
  • Keeps updated about relevant, operational, competitive, and company information, in order to respond effectively to inquiries from contacts and convey community message.
  • Pre-qualifies sources of professional referrals to determine their ability to send qualified potential residents to the community. Identifies those key decision makers and communicates with those involved in making or influencing the decision about making referrals to community .
  • Creates new and services existing relationships with professional referral sources. Including telephone contact, community tours, in-office visits at the professionals office, etc. All contact with the professional referral sources is accurately documented in Salesforce.
  • Responsible for preparation and implementation of an occupancy and development plan. which will detail the planned and actual contacts made with professional referral sources. Will schedule sufficient activity to generate the number of referral leads as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Participate in local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate, in order to facilitate a broader knowledge of the industry and of the communitys capabilities.
  • Manages community/public relations to include health fairs, screenings, community education programs (CEUs), and outreach.
  • Participates in discussions with the Community Director or Administrator, and other relevant community department managers regarding the formulation of resident care policies, contracts, pricing, etc.
  • Develops a formal community relations marketing plan, in conjunction with the appropriate LCS Marketing staff and the Community Director or Administrator.
  • Adheres to LCS marketing guidelines.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Preferred 2-4 years sales experience in Assisted Living and Memory Care OR in the Health Care Admission experience.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone effectively with both large and small groups in English.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Skill in use of computer software including MS-Word .
  • Must be able to generate a warm, friendly and caring manner on first impression.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations in all aspects of the job including sales presentations and marketing materials.
