As a result, our rapidly expanding Managed IT Services division is in need of a talented and dynamic sales director who will further accelerate our growth by building and leading a world class sales organization.
Position Overview: As a Managed IT Services Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of Preferred Business Systems managed IT services division. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage a team of sales professionals while also personally engaging in sales activities to drive revenue and expand our client base. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions and services.
The Managed IT Services Sales Director must be a hands-on leader with a sense of urgency regarding all facets of the business, creating a sales culture rooted in integrity, accountability, and results. An individual is not satisfied if the team wins unless every individual on the team has exceeded their individual goal.
A day in the life will consist of working to further relationships with ideal prospective clients, while training, coaching, and leading the sales team in their quest to meet and/or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
Key Responsibilities:
- 90% emphasis on Sales Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and objectives. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to enhance their performance and drive continuous improvement.
o Lead and develop your team as a core contributor to the growth.
- Heavy emphasis on net new business by prospecting, hunting for new business opportunities by utilizing (LinkedIn, warm/cold emails & phone calls, in-person visits, networking, etc. They will develop their pipeline through referrals, responding to leads, and working on an internal demand generation database.
- 10% emphasis on Business Development: Drive business development activities by identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new clients for our managed IT services. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through effective pipeline management and qualification strategies.
- Account Management: Foster strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional IT services. Conduct regular account reviews and provide exceptional customer service to drive client retention.
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue growth targets. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business opportunities and formulate effective sales plans.
- Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to track individual and team performance. Implement corrective measures and strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including technical, operational, and marketing teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and meet client expectations. Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive customer satisfaction and deliver successful outcomes.
- Industry and Product Knowledge: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to effectively position our managed IT services and differentiate them in the market. Provide insights and recommendations to improve service offerings and enhance competitive advantage.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations to prospective clients. Tailor solutions to meet their specific business needs and demonstrate the value of our managed IT services.

Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department
- Manage and support the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer systems, software applications, and hardware devices
- Ensure the security and integrity of data and information systems
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for IT services and products
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, and storage systems
- Experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Knowledge of VPN technologies and remote access solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
