System Seals, Inc. is seeking highly motivated and talented Applications Engineers to work collaboratively with our sales and R&D teams to design seal SOLUTIONS for our customers. This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in selling products requiring technical sealing expertise regarding the application specifics around speed, temperature, application, media, and pressure.
• Confer with customers and other engineers to assess needs and to determine sealing solutions.
• Recommend improved materials for the application.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
• Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the design and materials of sealing solutions.
• Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
• Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery.
• Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Education - Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineer preferred
• Excellent presentation and customer relationship skills
• Strong strategic planning and project management abilities
• Computer proficiency, including, Microsoft Office, Databases, and Outlook
• Knowledge of polymers, seals, and sealing solutions, preferred
• Travel 10-20%
