What will I be doing?:

  • Create and publish relevant, original, high-quality content on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google Business, LinkedIn).
  • Plan and schedule social media content for long and short-term objectives.
  • Respond to complaints, questions and comments left on the companys social media pages in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Manage keywords and search engine optimization (SEO), track statistics and analytics.
  • Continuously monitor social media analytics and prepare marketing reports at the end of every month by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing social media data.
  • Enhance knowledge of popular trends in hospitality and become familiar with the property to target group market segments and make recommendations regarding social channels and influencers.
  • Assist in the design and creation of marketing and advertising campaigns by compiling mailing lists, helping develop new content, coordinating with design and advertising contacts for timely distribution of materials.
  • Organize tradeshow calendar by maintaining appropriate deadlines for exhibit fees, exhibit booth needs, hotel reservations, timely shipment of supplies, dinner arrangements and social media announcements, when necessary.
  • Monitor Marriott programs and run reports daily to assign & distribute incoming sales leads to the appropriate managers.
  • Assist with distributing correspondence, including letters, emails, proposals, contracts, etc. for assigned managers. Ensures that all correspondence is 100% accurate.
  • Maintain account files and ensure that all information is included in file, i.e. site forms, resumes, post-convention reports, letters, fax information, etc.
  • Ensure that all managers receive detailed messages in a timely manner.
  • Gather materials and mails packages to clients as necessary.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms as well as social media management platforms
  • Ability to write clear, engaging, and consistent messaging with the companys target audience in mind
  • Ability to analyze social campaigns and their effect on business and marketing objectives
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Think creatively with a passion for social media.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to compile facts and figures.
  • Telephone etiquette skills required.
