Job Description

Mid Eastern is seeking a full-time sales clerk / counter sales position at our Gaston location.

Mid Eastern is a truck parts store for Big Rigs with an onsite warehouse. Forklift experience is a plus.

This person must take initiative, have a positive attitude, and integrity.

On the job training provided.

Familiarity with truck / auto parts and inventory control desired but not required.

Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers, respond to questions, introduce promotions and provide outstanding service.

Operate a computer using Point of Sale software

Correctly manage financial transactions and balance cash drawer

Maintain Inventory control, verifying, displaying and restocking items

Answer phones in a timely manner and with proper etiquette

Keep store clean, organized and maintain an orderly appearance

Comfortably speak and build rapport with customers, diligently resolve any customer complaints, while adhering to company policies

Continuously update knowledge of company products and services

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math

The ability to stand for extended periods of time

Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction.

Have a professional appearance

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Familiarity with a Point of Sale Software is preferred (i.e. QuickBooks, Shopify), but not required

Working hours that will vary between Monday - Friday 8 AM - 6 PM Saturday 8 AM - 4 PM
