Full description of the position

JOB DESCRIPTION
As an account manager, you will be responsible for creating value through the technical sales and service that you provide to existing and potential new customers. Account managers will be expected to maintain current revenue, qualify new prospects to grow revenue, improve profitability, and manage the customer relationship with both current and prospective clients.

Essential Functions

  • Mange the sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Exhibit the ability to learn the chemical offerings that Research Solutions provides our customer base
  • Operate in an independent manner utilizing problem solving skills to provide solutions to the customer base
  • Capable of analyzing data to support key recommendations to the customer

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities at this time.

Work Environment
The sales territory will be central Tennessee with most of the time spent either making sales calls or providing service visits.

Physical Demands
The ability to drive to and from customer locations is a must. The ability to perform various physical activities as necessary is a must (walking, driving, lifting, etc.).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree: Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of related chemical sales experience or industrial sales experience, Required

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Valid drivers license
  • Clean motor vehicle record
