Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) to join our team. The PSSR will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth by effectively selling parts and services while maintaining strong customer relationships. This position requires a blend of sales expertise, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to exceed customer expectations and contribute to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive sales of parts and service offerings for On-Site Material Handling equipment repair, prioritizing revenue generation and market share expansion.
Plan effective sales calls with clear objectives to drive parts and service sales.
Serve as a customer consultant to help them achieve the lowest cost per hour and maximize component life through proactive maintenance and repair strategies.
Utilize sales aids effectively to enhance customer presentations and promote product features and benefits.
Promote repair before failure through Repair Options and Machine/Power Train Rebuilds, emphasizing the benefits of preventative maintenance.
Communicate effectively with leadership and develop strong working relationships with Parts, Service, and Sales personnel to ensure seamless coordination and support for customers.
Follow up with customers on the status of service repairs as needed, ensuring timely updates on costs and turnaround times.
Complete all paperwork, parts orders, and service quotes accurately and promptly to facilitate smooth transactions.
Ensure fleet population and customer records are accurate and up to date for assigned customers to support efficient service delivery and customer management.
Keep leadership informed of changes in the market, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
Manage time and territory effectively to maximize sales opportunities and customer engagement.
Call customers to maintain regular contact, assess needs, and identify sales opportunities.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including bringing on fleet service accounts, to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth.
Maintain up-to-date CRM activities to track customer interactions, sales progress, and opportunities effectively.
Qualifications:
Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the material handling industry or related field.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate complex product features and benefits.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and internal teams.
Solid negotiation and persuasion skills with a customer-centric approach.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
