JOB SUMMARY:

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement: 21, with a solid background in Janitorial services.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution preferred, or equivalent professional experience coupled with relevant training certifications.
  • 5+ years of proven supervisory experience.
  • Completion of a comprehensive local criminal background check and submission to a nationwide screening by the company.
  • Clear of any misdemeanor convictions for crimes of moral turpitude. Acknowledgment that any findings contrary to company policy may lead to termination.
  • Successful provision and clearance of a Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Completion of designated assessments with satisfactory scores.
  • Pass a mandatory drug screening.
  • Normal hearing and eyesight, with or without corrective measures.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work hours as required by the job.
  • Willingness to engage in scheduled training sessions and meetings.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to policies and procedures communicated in English.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and adeptness in multitasking.
  • Effective communication in English, maintaining a pleasant, customer-centric tone.
  • Possess traits of patience, tact, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, diplomacy, and professionalism in all work interactions.
  • Strict adherence to all company safety protocols.
  • Competent operation of specialized equipment following proper training and authorization.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Predominantly in a climate-controlled building within a 24-hour operational facility.

RELATED JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Recruitment, including screening, interviewing, testing, reference checks, and evaluation of potential hires.
  • Extending job offers to candidates, detailing job specifics, compensation, and benefits.
  • Accurate matching of candidates to job orders based on customer requirements.
  • Conducting orientations and job-specific training for employees.
  • Monitoring employee performance and attendance at customer locations.
  • Proactively engaging with customers to ensure quality service, gather feedback, and propose enhancements.
  • Adherence to all safety regulations and communication thereof.
  • Representation of the company at various professional and civic events.
  • Support for local branch office operations.
  • Routine office tasks including clerical duties and file maintenance.
  • Actively pursue new clients and expand client base through cold calling and effective communication.
  • Manage and service accounts, ensuring measurable results.
  • Assess service performance, conduct appraisals, and analyze goals.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions and presentations.
  • Collaborate with division office on various operational aspects.
  • Compile weekly payroll.
  • Schedule and manage staffing for all accounts.
  • Assist Operations Managers in minimizing non-billable overtime.
  • Provide replacement personnel as needed for full-time accounts.
  • Direct supervision of on-site supervisors.
  • Handling of counseling, termination, and disciplinary actions.
  • Procurement of necessary equipment and supplies for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with training requirements as per state laws.
  • Provide price quotes and initiate staffing for various accounts.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure contract compliance.
  • Regular review of reports and billing statements for accuracy.
  • Promptly address Workers Compensation concerns.
  • Handle Unemployment issues in coordination with relevant agencies.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High School diploma or GED required.

Work Experience:

Preferably 5 or more years of experience in janitorial management.

Physical / Mental Requirements:

Medium physical demands, including the ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. High attention to detail and adeptness in coping with mental demands.
