Leasing Agent

Duties:
- Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants
- Respond to inquiries and provide information about the property, leasing terms, and rental rates
- Screen potential tenants by reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying income and rental history
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure all required documents are completed accurately
- Collect and process rental payments from tenants
- Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections with tenants
- Address tenant concerns and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, tenant interactions, and property vacancies

Skills:
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and ability to ensure compliance
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills to secure leases with prospective tenants
- Proficient in contract preparation and review
- Data entry skills for maintaining accurate tenant records and lease agreements
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs (if applicable)
- Ability to effectively communicate with tenants, property owners, and maintenance staff
- Experience using property management software such as Yardi (preferred)
- Basic understanding of property maintenance procedures
