Midnight Cellars has an opportunity for a full-time Marketing and Tasting Room position. We area small, family-owned, and operated winery that is celebrating over 29 years in business. Our philosophy is to enjoy life, most of all wine, and share that passion with our guests. The right candidate would be interested in wine and looks forward to the opportunity to work in a friendly, professional atmosphere.

Marketing duties include but not limited to:

• Maintain activity on all active social media channels including content creation with emphasis on tasting room, production, and vineyard happenings
• Generate email campaigns using MailChimp for promotions, holidays, upcoming events, and maintain databases with timely email imports to relevant lists.
• Develop customer follow up initiatives and create alternative methods for acquiring new customers
• Initiate community outreach and organize offsite festivals, including press releases and print media
• Monitor and maintain website content, including product listings, hours, news, event information and graphics
• Manage trade information for online wholesale product listings for distributors including fact sheets, bottle shots and accolades
• Design graphics for print and digital material

Sales duties include but not limited to:

• Professionally pour wines and educate with an emphasis on winemaking techniques and facts
• Effectively sell wines and promote our wine club and events
• Accurately and proficiently handle transactions on our POS system
• Reliably adhere to the weekly schedule in a timely manner
• Must possess an enthusiasm for wine and the Paso Robles region
• Excellent communication skills, personable and professional demeanor
• Maintain tasting room cleanliness, including restrooms and wine storage facilities
• Initiate tasks, comfortable working both independently and as a team
• Washing and polishing glassware
• Stock retail items and wines efficiently

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Occasional event set up and breakdown (tables, chairs, move heavy objects)
• May require prolonged sitting while use of a computer

Other Requirements:

Must be 21+ years of age

Valid Drivers License

Available Weekends and Some Holidays

Wine and/or restaurant experience a bonus

Proficient in Photoshop, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office

This is a full-time opportunity

Compensation is hourly plus gratuities

Wine Club sign up commissions

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
