Public School Employees of Washington (PSE) is a labor union dedicated exclusively to representing Education Support Professionals in Washington states public education system. Our 30,000 members play a vital role in the operation of early learning, K-12 and universities throughout the state.
No other labor organization in Washington represents educational support professionals with the power and might of PSE. We are constantly working on the front lines to improve the quality of our public education system and to gain better recognition for those who often work behind the scenes to help our students succeed.

Position-Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Membership Communications and New Media, this position is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and reporting information related to membership characteristics and outcomes. This position is called upon to provide expertise, consultation, and guidance to PSE management team, directors, education administrators, and other staff in the area of membership records. This position provides critical, specialized information related to membership records and ensures the timely and accurate submission for compliance reporting of state and local bylaws and collective bargaining agreements. In collaboration with members, leaders, non -members, ensuring a positive experience for all represented workers.

This position requires a self-motivated individual who is adept in performing specialized assignments on an ongoing basis, meeting regular deadlines.
Requires thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to safeguard organizational compliance of state bylaws.
Ability to manipulate and reconcile large quantities of data originating from of a variety of sources (self-reported, employer reported) and in diverse formats to create meaningful and accurate reports for a variety of audiences.
Maintain the lifecycle of all membership records, including responsibility for resolving discrepancies within all membership records.
Serves as point of contact for employers and members at large for all membership-related inquiries.
Maintain, analyze, and report on all aspects of electronic membership records: including but not limited to eligibility, enrollment records, membership demographics, attendance, and participation.
Maintain employer and member correspondence in electronic filing system.
Facilitate the submission of all Federal and State compliance reporting related to membership with employers.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential member information.
May create, develop, and support membership-related training material.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Abilities Required
High school diploma. Associates degree in computer science preferred.
Thorough knowledge of MS Office 365 and MS Excel.
Skill in connecting data from a variety of sources with different formats.
Skill in basic statistical calculations and data manipulations.
Skill in verifying large data files and analyses.
Skill in assessing problems, interpreting/clarifying needs, and developing solutions.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
Excellent keyboarding and proofing with attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing and unexpected conditions.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Friendly, service-oriented attitude and demeanor towards members, employees, and peers.
Ability to work effectively with people as a member of a team.
Commitment to personal and organizational ethics and values.
Possession of a valid Washington drivers license and willingness to use personal vehicle in course of employment.
Working Environment/Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
Regularly required to use standard office equipment. Attend meetings, siting and standing intermittently. Must be able to lift 10 pounds or less.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time union position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, established office hours for PSE. Occasional night and weekend hours may be required.
