Mechanical Engineering Combustion Sales Estimating Application Engineer
  • To be considered for this position, candidates must have a four-year engineering degree, at least two years of experience in industrial sales application engineering, and at least five years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Candidates should enjoy engaging with customers over the phone, as this role involves making approximately twenty to twenty-five phone calls daily
  • Compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000
  • Applicants must be either United States citizens or holders of a Green Card
  • This position does not offer remote work options
  • This is a full-time role

This role heavily utilizes a specialized engineering software that automates the entire sales application process. Customers input their data into the website, and the software generates quotes, proposals, and follow-ups automatically, allowing the Sales Application Engineers to focus on delivering the best product solutions to the customers. With this software, potential customers can receive quotes and proposals within just fifteen minutes of submitting their information. This position does not require any travel. The key duties and responsibilities include:
  • Spend 30% of the time engaging with customers over the phone (approximately twenty to twenty-five calls daily)
  • Apply engineering expertise to address the technical aspects of the company's products
  • Thoroughly investigate customer needs
  • Provide effective problem-solving support to customers
  • Utilize the software throughout the sales process
  • Analyze requirements and offer suitable alternative proposals to company sales professionals
  • Engage in effective communication via telephone, email, and virtual platforms


Prior experience in combustion-related work would be advantageous. The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering
  • At least five years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Strong affinity for customer interaction over the phone
  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude
  • At least two years of experience in industrial sales
  • A stable employment history
  • A US citizenship or a Green Card holder
  • A residence within a 45-minute drive of the Richfield, Wisconsin area
