Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking a Product Specialist aka, a Specification Representative, aka, Spec rep! The Specification Representative (Spec Rep)/ Product Specialist is responsible for securing specifications for Formica and Fenix products, within the commercial design community which includes architects, designers, and store planners. The Specification Representative/ Product Specialist may also be required to secure residential specifications which include home builders and kitchen and bath dealers. Selling activities include education on products to ensure material is specified in the proper applications. The ability to build and maintain relationships within the specification community is critical. This role will be responsible for making sure all Formica and Fenix marketing devices are appropriately placed and updated on a timely basis.

As the Specification Representative (Spec Rep)/ Product Specialist, you are required to travel locally (50%) and be customer facing- you will home by dinner time! Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with customers and serves as the primary contact in a territory for the design community
• Increase Formica and Fenix specifications with all accounts in the territory
• Provides design, product and application information to individual accounts.
• Works closely with the rest of the Cal Panel selling team to maximize communication
• Provides feedback to Cal Panel selling team regarding the surfacing needs of the design community
• Hands on placement, updating, and maintenance of all Formica and Fenix merchandising in the territory

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of the complete product line and its marketing performance.
• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
• Ability to communicate well in oral and written formats with all levels of our organization and our customers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must maintain a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Effective time management skills and a strong work ethic are a must.
