As a National Account Executive, you will play a vital role identifying new business opportunities by quoting daily shipment request, in-transit communication, and act as a single point of contact. You will be introduced and confident with McClays technology platforms and develop an understanding of how to forecast freight market conditions. You will perform pinpoint operational tasks for our carrier/customer relationships from pick to delivery, to billing, for each shipment while simultaneously keeping a focus on expanding your book of business.

Responsibilities - National Account Executive

• Develop a rapport with existing and potential partnerships
• Manage shipments through all phases (pick, delivery, billing), update our TMS accordingly
• Must be willing to train and learn other operational tasks within the company
• Collaborate on pricing strategy and account implementation plans
• Achieve daily goals through sales touchpoints and task activities
• Communicate honestly & effectively to all partnerships
• Provide a level of customer service and genuine approach that promotes win-win scenarios for all parties
• Manage an evolving sales pipeline through our CRM which involves recording and tracking your sales efforts.
• Generate and close new business by making cold calls to potential customers, qualifying customers, and handling objections effectively

Qualifications

• No direct logistics experience required, however sales experience preferred
• A team player who works well with others
• Must have a drive to succeed, confidence, and a competitive spirit
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• An individual that does not expect respect but earns it

Experience

• Logistics: 1-2+ years (Preferred, not required)
• 3PL: 1-2+ years (Preferred, not required)
• Sales: 1-2+ years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
