Now Hiring - Oklahoma City Community College - Box Office and Marketing Manager in Oklahoma City, OK

The Box Office and Marketing Manager manages Box Office operations and Marketing workflows for the OCCC Office of Cultural Programs. This position manages all subscription sales, single event sales, group ticket sales, ticketing operations, box office operations, and patron service issues, and manages other tasks associated with event marketing and promotion, with support from the OCCC Office of Marketing and Public Relations. This position is expected to proactively work to increase both single ticket sales and group sales as well as increase community awareness of the OCCC VPAC facility. The ideal candidate must have sales and business development experience, excellent customer service skills, staff management, accounting skills, be able to negotiate Box Office contracts, be detail oriented, be able to recruit and supervise a student employee workforce and possess the ability to coordinate the completion of multiple tasks or projects within established deadlines. The position requires occasional evening and weekend work including working all ticketed performances and events.

Bachelors Degree.

Minimum (2) years of experience managing performing arts organization or event box office, or similar operation, that includes administration of subscription series and the training and supervision of box office staff.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Demonstrated skills in financial management, with the ability to accurately balance accounts daily.

In-depth knowledge of box office management and ticketing systems.

Expertise in audience engagement practices, subscription sales, and donor relations.

Proficiency in marketing strategies across various channels, including digital, print, social media, direct mail, TV, and radio.

Knowledge of the local cultural landscape and community outreach strategies.

Strong supervisory experience and effective team management skills.

Experience in contract negotiations and settlement processes.

Enthusiasm, desire, and talent for working with the public.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external promoters, and community partners, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a changing and deadline-oriented environment.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

Strength enough to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Flexibility enough to bend, twist, and reach out when performing tasks.

Work is performed in an office environment.

Visual ability to read small print accurately in print, computer screens, and hand-held devices.

Near vision enough to read and draft documents such as written communications, forms, reports, etc.

Some event-related work may require standing for long periods of time.

Bachelors degree in business, arts administration, marketing, or equivalent work experience.

Previous work experience with AudienceView Campus ticketing system in an institution of higher education. Bilingual.

This is a full-time, exempt position; generally, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, however, includes occasional evening/weekend hours to support scheduled ticketed and public events.
