.Director of Sales Job Summary
Sanders Collections is a leading manufacturer of high-end Bedding, such as Bed Sheets, Pillows, mattresses, and beds. We stock our items domestically and can deliver nationwide and to Canada.
We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and energetic individual to join our company as Director of Sales. As an integral member of our executive management team, the Director of Sales will be primarily responsible for developing strategic sales and marketing plans to generate sustainable revenue growth.
This includes planning and directing all aspects of the organizations sales and marketing team, policies, objectives, and initiatives; directing sales planning and forecasting, marketing programs development and customer satisfaction initiatives to create an exceptional customer experience; establishing short- and long-term sales objectives and quotas in line with company objectives; and identifying key market opportunities and competitive marketing strategies to achieve maximum sales volume potential. The ideal candidate would have experience with B2B and B2C and hospitality/healthcare and EDU industry.
Director of Sales Duties and Responsibilities
- Create strong relationships with key enterprise stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels.
- Understand the competitive landscape and market trends
- Understand and effectively communicate the company's value proposition, technology, and processes
- Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
- Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
- Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
- Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new employees; coaching current employees; and planning, monitoring and appraising employee performance
- Work with the Operations team to implement targeted sales support strategy
- Generate and maintain accurate Account and Opportunity plans
- Interface with technical support internally to resolve issues that directly impact customers
- Manage and implement the sales forecasting and execution and marketing processes, establishing high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency for the sales and marketing organization
- Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and fosters a culture of continuous process improvement
- Analyze pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the executive team and sales and marketing teams providing key business insights: typical reporting relates to Demand Generation, Pipeline Forecast and Trends, Conversion Rates, Target Account, Market Segmentation, and Win/Loss
- Report on key KPIs related to the lead and the opportunity waterfall to implement a consistent closed loop between marketing and sales
- Thorough reporting and analytics, validate the quality of the lead and pipeline data and provide guidance to improve the overall data quality
- Define contact and account quality standards in the database, defining processes and data acquisition strategies
- Monitor the quality of marketing and sales information and define data improvement programs to maximize ROI
Director of Sales Requirements and Qualifications
- Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, results-oriented culture
- Ability to identify and solve customer issues strategically
- Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives from a sales or marketing person's perspective
- Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate modes of communication including proficiency at analyzing data, building reporting, and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
- Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Keen business sense, with the ability to solve challenges with creative business-oriented solutions
- Skilled in communications, presentations, client relationships, sales planning, prospecting, negotiation, emphasizing excellence, creativity, independence, and motivation
- 10 or more years related work experience required, or 5 years of experience plus a bachelors degree or additional training/certification
- Preferred experience selling regional brick and mortar stores
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
