JOB
This is a professional level position responsible for business development and marketing initiatives aimed at specific youth and amateur sport related business opportunities and other tourism related events generating the greatest value of room night sales and economic impact for the Seminole County sports venues.

The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position.Attract, solicit, and secure sports related event opportunities for specific youth sports markets, and other sport related business for Seminole County Serve on the Sports Tourism Business Development Team Build Calendar of Events by recruiting new events and retaining existing events Assist in developing the annual Sports Tourism Business Plan, including target number of events, room nights, and economic impact, and meeting goals by establishing, improving, and promoting events. Develop and grow events, team training opportunities, and sports tourism for targeted sports markets to include, but not limited to Seminole County Sports Complex, Soldiers Creek Park, and Seminole County Softball Complex Develop and execute on-going strategic sales plans for targeted sports business development Distribute business development collateral and materials for bids and created events and team trainings. Develop relationships with current and future 3rd Party Rights Holders Manage client relations from start to finish of event Establish deliverables, communications, and action reports for pre, during, and post event Work with park supervisors on event planning and coordination Assess housing needs once business/event is booked Track and report hotel rooms generated from events in conjunction with event organizer Assist in bid development, including content and presentations for business development team Develop offer sheets, budgets, agreements, pre and post event financial reports, economic impact analysis, and monthly impact reports for events Attend international, national, and regional trade shows, conferences, and meetings to research new sport business and event opportunities Additional Duties: In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.

Experience working with rights holders and booking youth sports business Remain accessible for communication with hotel partnersAbility to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects at a timeStrong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detailProficient at problem solving and decision making skill as well as continuous improvement process skillsSkilled in written and verbal communicationExperience in budget development and understanding events budgetKnowledge or relationships within the sports industry, including with national, regional, and local organizations, is a plusProficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; graphics experience is a plusAbility to travel to international, national, and regional conferences and meetingsAbility to work extended hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
