Position: Building materialsAccount Manager for a Japanese Manufacturing Company

Products: Residential/Commercial Decorative Material Products

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: New York, NY (After the training period, hybrid going to the office 3 times/wk)

Pay: 80-90 K + Benefit

Status: Full-time Exempt + Benefit

Responsibilities:

- Building materials experience needed

- Performing all facets of sales activities including customer service of existing accounts, sales presentations, sample development, order solicitation, production scheduling, and after sale follow up.

- Communicating extensively with customers Purchasing, Quality Control, R&D, Design, and Logistics people as well as the HQ in Tokyo sales office to provide effective products/services. Coordinating the entire process from pre-production, production, through to delivery of the products.

- Developing sales strategies to market products. Maintaining existing customers by quality assurance and their satisfaction and developing relationships with new customers

- Researching industry design trends to lead the development of saleable new designs/colors.

- Researching new industry, prepares reports and identifies potential clients.

- Traveling a) to see existing and potential customers and promote products, b) to attend trade shows to establish new contacts and market our products.

- Writing sales reports, customer correspondence, and related business correspondence.

- Preparing quotations, contracts, and following up with customers.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

- 7-10 years of outside sales & marketing experience in Building materials

- Proven ability to develop sales and marketing strategies aggressively and efficiently.

- Self-motivated, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.

- Traveling and driving required. (No need to have own car.)

- Basic knowledge of computer systems and applications

- Japanese skill is plus

-Furniture Manufacturing/ Building materials Experience needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
