Full description of the position

Maine Shellfish Company delivers a full line of high quality seafood and specialty food items to customers throughout Maine, Northern New Hampshire and the Seacoast.

The Outside Sales Representative will sell products offered by the company to current and new clientele. In addition the Outside Sales Representative will develop and maintain new and existing client relationships beyond selling products.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads

Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product and/or service needs; identify and suggest products and/or services to meet those needs.

Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post sale.

Maintain communication with customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest to them.

Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer relationship problems.

Assists with deliveries and/or covering delivery routes as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Relevant experience in marketing, sales, business or related field.

Must possess a valid drivers license.

Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Prolonged periods of riding/driving.

Prolonged periods of standing and or walking.

Must be able to lift and carry at least 65 pounds at times.

Must be able to travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
