We are looking for a talented Regional Sales Manager to join our team specializing in Sales for the Utility Business Segment. In this role the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales throughout the Central and Western regions of the US.
ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The Regional Sales Manager plans, maintains, and manages LS Cable's sales to Investor Own Utilities (IOUs), municipalities & cooperatives direct or through distribution leveraging independent sales representatives (agents). This individual will oversee all sales activities to increase the brand presence and sales of LS Cable utility products using targeted customer calls, technical presentations, industry meetings and networking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Involvement in the development and implementation of:
- Training inside sales and outside representatives.
- Joint sales calls with representatives and distributors.
- Work with strategic pricing management to quotations.
- Manage inventory and value-added services.
- Conduct Medium Voltage cable training as needed to end user utilities, distributors, sales representatives.
- Establish relationships with procurement, operations & technical personnel at utilities and distributors.
- Provide feedback to Product Management and marketing regarding value-added business opportunities.
- Gain insight into customers' internal corporate initiatives and respond with suggestions for programs and tools positively differentiating LS Cable from the competition.
- In an effort to assist in measuring performance, the employee shall meet the following objectives:
- Follow-up on leads and establish relationships with end users and distribution in territory.
- Work jointly with representatives to target opportunities.
- Meet assigned sales objectives for targeted product lines on an annual basis.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
The candidate must be able to perform all essential duties and must be extremely strong in areas of:
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
- Knowledge of Utility Medium Voltage cable market.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- High level presentation and public speaking skills.
- General technical comprehension of Utility Medium Voltage cables.
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
