Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for an Account Manager for our Crossett, AR location who will be responsible managing customer accounts in an assigned territory as well as prospecting and developing new accounts. This position is a remote position that involves travel to customers and our facilities when needed.
Functional Responsibilities
- Prepare annual sales plan;
- Compile and complete yearly sales and expense forecasts;
- Develop & execute sales strategies;
- Identify and plan Target Account strategies;
- Monitor & investigate competitive activity and trends within territory.
- Conduct strategic account reviews, regularly.
- Monitor the territory's potential and determine the value of existing and potential customers to the organization.
- Identify accounts where revenue may be shrinking and formulate strategies to address this.
- Develop & maintain prospect list, independently & proactively;
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Prepare & submit weekly call reports, expense reports and monthly activity reports.
- Utilize CRM tools.
- Assist in ensuring HACCP, GMPs Work Instructions, and safe quality food system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post secondary graduate or equivalent experience in related field.
- Fundamentals of Selling course.
- 5-7 years sales experience in a related industry with at least one year in flexible packaging
Skills
- Strong presentation & interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to set goals & priorities, plan & be responsive to customers
- Highly self-motivated.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of flexible packaging markets & technologies.
- Understanding of basic product costing & margins.
- Good negotiating skills.
- CRM software knowledge & experience.
- Knowledge of Value Added Selling principles & tools.
- Basic understanding of converting processes & technologies
