Overview:
Storagenergy is currently seeking a self-driven business development manager who will be responsible for strengthening and expanding the companys business. Expected duties include market investigation, collaborator and customer engagement, and funding acquisition. The Business Development Manager will work closely with other engineers and scientists as part of cross-functional projects to complete challenging development projects, consistent with customer and manufacturing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 5+ years of experience in business development and strategic partnership management with a record of high performance
- Excellent active listening and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and public speaking / presentation skills
- Superior project management skills, including organization and detail orientation and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently and effectively
- Experience and business network in the field of electrochemical energy storage (Li-ion batteries and Na-ion batteries) is strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify key industry and competitive trends driving the market
- Collaborate with our senior management, scientists, and engineers to develop a deep understanding of our technologies and capabilities and partner needs fulfillment
- Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts to explore pathways for partnerships and collaborations
- Build strong and lasting relationships with partners based on our core values of honesty, trust, respect and shared value creation
- Organize meaningful business opportunity review meetings, performance data and usage insights which add value to partner strategy and operations
- Understand the revenue and margin impact of potential partners on our core business
- Manage a pipeline of partners including identifying, prospecting, outreach, assessment, alignment, negotiations, & close
- Represent the leadership team in extending the vision, strategies and tactics required for profitable and sustained partner engagement
- Maintain a CRM with accurate and thorough documentation of all important contacts, and account management
