We are seeking a Reservation Specialist with a minimum of one years experience in a related field, including hospitality, sales, reservations, and/or call center. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent credentials, with a college degree preferred. They should possess strong communication and conflict resolution skills, be proficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office software applications, and have experience with Opera, NAVIS, Resort Suite, and/or Res Diary. The candidate should have a minimum typing skill of 35+ wpm, the ability to courteously present information to people in one-on-one and group situations, and consistently aspire to fulfill our core Company values. They must possess a positive attitude, have the ability to work with a variety of people, be detail-oriented, adaptable, flexible with working hours, and adhere to the company dress code policy.
The responsibilities of the role include making, modifying, and/or cancelling all resort room, dining, and activity reservations. They should efficiently and accurately make room reservations for The Cloister, The Lodge, The Inn and Cottage Rentals, and make reservations for all restaurants and activities. The candidate should manage multiple reservation software, receive a high volume of incoming telephone calls promptly and politely, develop, edit and update training materials for new agents, resolve sales floor guest issues, maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area. They should communicate with guests and members in a professional manner, create and manage lead forms for potential reservations based on guest interactions, follow up on leads with outbound calls, work with all resort departments to maintain maximum rapport and open communication channels, act to solve guest problems, monitor and ensure that all guest information is input into the system accurately, maintain knowledge of Forbes 5-Star Standards, assist with Travel Agent reservations, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues, and maintain confidentiality of all guest and Team Member information.
