Full description of the position

Summary: Works closely with TMI Specialty Contracting Division customers and internal support staff to provide customized project storage. Products include casework, countertops, architectural woodwork, loose furniture, and buyouts necessary to provide the client with a turn-key project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process customer requests for product, pricing, delivery, and installation.
  • Meet with customers in person or virtually to determine specific needs and scope of work for the project.
  • Communicate design drawings for approval that satisfy both customer and vendor requirements.
  • Secure contract and/or purchase order from customer.
  • Coordinate project and delivery requirements with TMI post order operations, installation personnel, and vendors.
  • Maintain customer contact with existing customers to determine future opportunities.
  • Network and develop new customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a strong working knowledge of architectural plans, layout and space planning, vendor product and specification information and contract documents. The individual must be able to present themselves in a professional manner.

    Education and/or Experience:
  • Appropriate degrees would be in Business Administration, Construction Management, Interior Design, and Drafting and Estimating Technology, or equivalent construction and manufacturing experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents such as architectural plans or customers preliminary drawings. Ability to write proposals and other related written correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate effectively with customers or employees of an organization.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as price, discounts, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or engineering form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete and abstract variables.

Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of M1 Contract Management, Database, Design, Internet, Inventory, Manufacturing, Order Processing, Project Management, and Microsoft Office software.
