Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be a key driver of growth for our fintech solutions, focusing on identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective financial institution clients with focus on credit unions and regional and community banks. Leveraging exceptional research and communication skills, you will build meaningful relationships with financial institutions to expand our customer base. Through a proactive approach to sales and close collaboration with internal teams, you will drive pipeline progression and achieve team objectives. Loquat is headquartered in Miami, FL but we are open to remote candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute business development activities to engage potential clients through various outreach methods
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot, including all business development activities, account details, contact information, and opportunities
- Expand the database by identifying and adding new financial institutions and contacts while ensuring a 98% data integrity rate for existing records
- Create new sales opportunities by scheduling product demonstrations with prospects to generate qualified leads
- Build strong introductory relationships with prospects by establishing rapport, uncovering pain points, understanding strategic goals, and assessing their current operating environment
- Conduct in-depth online research to analyze financial metrics and individual roles, identifying key "pain points" to craft tailored and personalized outreach messages
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track activities, performance metrics, and progress toward goals
- Gain a thorough understanding of HubSpot, the Loquat platform, and the broader banking industry
- Confidently deliver engaging and informative 60-minute online product demonstrations
- Collaborate with the leadership team to manage the sales pipeline and support deal progression effectively
Qualifications
- Desire to be a sales lead hunter
- Strong desire to excel as a sales lead hunter, consistently pursuing new opportunities
- Proven track record of sales success within the banking industry
- Demonstrated experience in selling SaaS solutions, with deep knowledge of financial solutions technology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience selling digital solutions to credit unions, regional banks, and community banks, including cold calling, email prospecting, and lead generation
- Expertise in leveraging CRM platforms, particularly HubSpot, to manage customer relationships, track sales activities, and drive revenue growth
- Proficient in utilizing a variety of software tools, including lead generation platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Constant Contact), deal management solutions (e.g., DocuSign, Calendly), and market intelligence tools (e.g., Crunchbase, CB Insights)
- Exceptional negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent multitasking skills
- Willingness to travel as required to meet client and business needs
- Skilled in creating and delivering compelling presentations to clients and internal management
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary
- Additional experience in selling commercial payment solutions is highly desirable
- Familiarity with account analysis and billing software is an added advantage
